Our Commitments to a Sustainable Future
Governance
Backed by a management team supported by shareholders who provide undeniable assistance, Kugler Bimetal benefits from a well-balanced distribution of leadership to meet the expectations of the company’s stakeholders.
The company’s internal charters on ethics, quality, health, and safety ensure respect for human rights, gender equality, and fairness in access to opportunities.
Given the unique nature of Kugler’s working environment, we maintain a close relationship with federal authorities to ensure a safe and suitable working environment that prioritizes employee health.

Social
We invest annually in developing our teams’ skills to promote innovation, safety, and excellence. This is achieved through numerous internal cross-departmental training sessions, allowing us to fully leverage the knowledge and expertise of each team member.
As a member of the B Lab Switzerland network since July 2022 and ECOVADIS certified since 2024, we uphold high standards of social and environmental performance. These certifications reflect our commitment to balancing economic performance with social responsibility. They also demonstrate our dedication to providing equal opportunities, regardless of origin, gender, religion, or any other potentially discriminatory criteria.
Environment
We have developed a complete bronze recycling loop, where 85% of the chips from production are sorted, compacted into eco-bricks, and then refined for reuse in our foundry. This internal recycling process not only reduces our raw material costs but also limits the extraction of natural resources by transforming metal waste into new raw material. Additionally, this approach results in a 50-fold reduction in CO2 emissions for this material segment, saving 5,000 TeqCO2 per year.
Since 2018, we have installed a photovoltaic system on our production site, which covers 10% of our electricity consumption and reduces our energy expenses by the equivalent of 17 tons of CO2 per year. In addition, replacing lighting with LEDs has led to an annual saving of 112 MWh. We continue to optimize our energy consumption to minimize our carbon footprint.
In 2024, we were nominated for the Green Business Switzerland award, a national recognition that honors companies combining ecological innovation with economic success. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have set the ambitious goal of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1 & 2) by 50% by 2030, compared to the 713 tCO₂eq recorded in 2021.
